To be a global leader in environmentally sustainable solutions, providing affordable renewable energy access to all.
Our story
Officially registered with the Uganda Revenue Authority and Uganda Registration Services Bureau in 2018, TEE has implemented over 30 biogas plants ranging from 15 m³ to 8,600 m³ for industrial and agricultural enterprises, households, and schools. We also serve government and non-government organisations with biogas and clean cooking consultancy.
We bridge the energy gap through sustainable management of organic waste—banana waste, farm waste, human waste, and animal dung—while generating on-site energy (briquette and biogas). The residue from biogas generation is a high-quality digestate fertiliser in semi-liquid form.
Our main office and workshop are at Najjanakumbi–Entebbe Road, opposite ULGA House, Kampala.
First established in 2015 as a pilot (Trautbuck Project Uganda), TEE later rolled out briquette machinery prefabrication, portable/flexible balloon biogas systems, and Chinese dome systems attached to electricity generators. The aim is to raise useful energy obtained from biomass—from roughly 1% toward much higher adoption—so Uganda gets cheaper, cleaner energy from bio-waste.
To be a global leader in environmentally sustainable solutions, providing affordable renewable energy access to all.
To educate, support, and inspire individuals, businesses, and institutions to adopt environmentally sustainable habits through innovation and technology, improving lifestyles and fostering a greener future.
What guides us
Clear dialogue with clients, partners, and field teams so every installation matches real site needs.
Registered with URA and URSB—honest scoping, realistic timelines, and follow-through after handover.
Portable digesters, fixed domes, briquette lines, and cookstoves chosen for local feedstock and budgets.
Efficient delivery without cutting corners—systems that stay useful years after commissioning.
Why clients choose us
Hands-on experience from household digesters to large industrial advisory (up to 8,600 m³).
Biogas, briquettes, cookstoves, consultancy, bottling advice, and maintenance—one accountable partner.
Every job starts with feedstock and energy use—not a one-size-fits-all digester size.
Social enterprise DNA: energy access, sanitation, skills, and environmental outcomes together.
Where we work
We operate across Central, Northern, Eastern & Western Uganda. Main office and workshop: Najjanakumbi – Entebbe Road, opposite ULGA House, Kampala, Uganda.
Development contribution
Outcomes that go beyond the plant—seen in communities, farms, schools and settlements.
Digestate slurry reduces costly synthetic fertiliser, improves soil, and supports better manure management for livestock enterprises.
Less indoor smoke, cleaner cooking, and bio-latrine linked digesters that improve school and community sanitation.
Lower reliance on fuelwood gathered from natural forests—cutting deforestation pressure and wood smoke pollution.
Cooking, lighting, heating, and biogas-to-electricity options for farms, schools, and peri-urban households.
Briquette machinery, trainings, and installation services that create local enterprise and technician capacity.
Solutions proven in schools, dairies, industrial waste advisory, and refugee settlement programmes.
